Werner Troxler Obituary

TROXLER, Werner Johann January 26, 1957 ~ May 9, 2026. Aged 69 years.

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Werner Troxler, beloved husband of Natalie Troxler of Roblin, Manitoba. Werner passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, at the age of 69 years, surrounded by family.

Werner was born on January 26, 1957, in Schlierbach Switzerland to Franz and Rosa Troxler. He was predeceased by his beloved parents.

In the spring of 1979, at the young age of 22, Werner made the courageous decision to leave Switzerland and begin a new life in Canada. With a degree in Agriculture, he first settled in Carman, where he worked for a local farmer. Over the following seven years, Werner worked for various farming operations, building a reputation as a hardworking and dependable man. It was while working at Sperling Welding that he discovered his true passion for welding, a trade he took great pride in and dedicated himself to throughout his life.

In 1985, while travelling back to Switzerland, Werner met Andy Moosamin on the airplane. During their conversation, Andy mentioned a welding shop for sale in Roblin. When Werner returned to Canada in 1986, he travelled directly to Roblin to see the shop and instantly knew it was where he was meant to be. He purchased the business from Walter Lupichuk and began building both his livelihood and his future there.

That same year, Werner met the love of his life, Natalie. The two were married a year later and together built a life filled with love, family, and hard work. Roblin became Werner’s home for the next 40 years, where he became well known and respected throughout the community.

Werner enjoyed curling, fishing, downhill skiing, water skiing, and especially spending time with his beloved grandchildren. He was widely known for his remarkable ability to repair or build just about anything. Whether helping a neighbour, fixing machinery, or creating something from scratch, Werner took great pride in his craftsmanship and problem-solving abilities.

One of Werner’s proudest accomplishments was the success of his welding shop, where he built elevators that were shipped throughout Canada and as far away as Kazakhstan. His dedication, skill, and innovation earned him the respect of many within his trade and community.

Werner will be lovingly remembered by Natalie, his devoted wife of 39 years; his children, Clayton (Tammy), Patrick, and Tracy (Chevy); and his cherished grandchildren, Royce, Kacey, Mercedes, and Kayden.

He is also survived by his siblings Franz, Urs (Romy), Jasef (Rita), Romy (Barnabas), and Trudy (Puis), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will deeply miss him.

Werner will be remembered for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, generosity, and deep love for his family. His kindness, determination, and gentle spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew him.
