Veryl Becker (nee Elder)

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Veryl on Thursday, September 29, 2016 in Cupar, Saskatchewan.  She passed with family by her side, after a long and brave battle with cancer. 

Mom will forever be remembered by her husband of 45 years, Wes; sons Craig (Jennifer), Chad (Hollie) and Todd (Laura); grandchildren Ethan, Isabella, Sean, Shane and Madison.  She will also be missed by her five siblings Bev, Florence, Ron, Earl, and Bruce and their families; and many other relatives. 

Mom was born in Kamsack, Saskatchewan and spent her childhood growing up on the family farm near Makaroff, Manitoba.  After meeting in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she married Wes.  In the early years of marriage, they lived in several communities but settled in Regina, Saskatchewan to raise their family. 

Always a social butterfly, mom was happiest spoiling her grandchildren, spending time with her many friends, volunteering in the community and enjoying her passion for music by attending concerts. 

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Care Providers and staff at the Cupar and District Nursing Home for the care and compassion they provided to mom and our family. 

The Funeral Service was held at Regina Funeral Home, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. 

Veryl was laid to rest in Makaroff Cemetery, at Makaroff, Manitoba on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. (Manitoba time) or 1:30 p.m. (Saskatchewan time).
