Terry Eldred Curle

1955 - 2013

Terry Eldred Curle age 58 years of Russell, Manitoba, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Minnedosa Hospital, in Minnedosa, Manitoba.

Terry is survived by his wife of nineteen years; Michelle Schafer Curle,  four sons; Jeremy, Tanner, Jesse, and Jeffery, three daughters; Mia, Melissa and Jessica, as well as his Pomeranian dog, Obee. He also leaves behind two brothers, Len and Murray and one sister Dorothy. 

Terry was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Alvina, his brother Vern and sister Geri.

Terry spent his early years in the workforce driving train in the mine in Northern Manitoba.  He then moved on to Medicine Hat, and began a long career in the oil patch.  There he made many lifelong friends, and met his wife Michelle.  

Terry loved to restore cars.  His passion and favorite, was his Ford Galaxy 500 XL convertible.  He never turned down anyone in need of a hand, anything from a simple task, to a job that took days to complete, anytime night or day.  He liked to play guitar, and sing George Jones, Johnny Cash, or any old country tune he grew up listening to, and fishing every chance he got, always saying " Let Ol Red show you how to do it”. Terry was never without his dog, Obee.  Anytime you saw Terry, Obee was always beside him.

Terry was a kind and special person, in his own unique way.  He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by many.  To meet Terry Curle, you surely would never forget him.

A Service of Comfort was held on Friday, October 11, 2013 at 7:00 PM from the Chapel of Nairn-Chyz Funeral Home in Roblin, with Rev. Mark Hammond officiating. Kayla Curle sang “Choices” and Brian Paul sang “Why Me Lord” and “I’ll Fly Away”. A reception for family and friends followed the service.

An Interment Service was held at Roblin District Cemetery on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Mark Hammond officiating.
