It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Shirley Anne Florence Cameron (nee McLeod) on June 19, 2022 in Roblin, MB. Shirley was born in Rainy River, Ont. to Collum and Marguerite McLeod on January 19, 1933. She was raised in Fort Frances, Ontario, which is where she later met the love of her life, Murray Cameron.
Shirley and Murray were married in 1959, and had two daughters – Lori and Nancy. They would later welcome two granddaughters – Whitney and Ally, two girls of whom she could not have been more proud.
Shirley was employed as the Director of Nursing of the Roblin District Health Centre for many years, where she made many lifelong friends. When Alzheimer’s Disease made it no longer possible for her to live at home she moved to Crocus Court in the Roblin Personal Care Home. She resided there until her passing.
Shirley was predeceased by her husband Murray. She is survived by her daughters Lori and Nancy (Mike) granddaughters Whitney (Justin) and Ally (Riley) and great grandson Leo, her brother Peter (Audrey), nephew Greg (Tressa) and niece Laura (Chris) and their families.
Thank you to the staff at Crocus Court Personal Care Home for the wonderful care they gave our mom over the years. To Ev, Elsie and Vicki who not only cared for Mom, but made her feel so loved – we are eternally grateful.
