In Loving Memory of
Raymond G. Spencer
1927 - 2014
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Raymond Guelph Spencer on Wednesday, June 4th, 2014 at the Roblin District Health Centre.
Raymond was born in Russell, Manitoba on May 24th, 1927, a son of John and Ester (nee Moulson) Spencer.
Raymond met his first wife Martha Dressler and moved to Roblin, where they started a family while running a restaurant. They briefly moved to Dauphin where he worked at a John Deere Dealership. Eventually they settled in Binscarth, Manitoba, where he ran the Spencer family farm. He was passionately involved in the NDP party and had a variety of interests. He loved to hunt, fish, golf, curl, dance, and you could always find him at the local coffee shop.
In 1980, Ray married Dorothy Funk and they lived in Roblin where he worked and volunteered in the community.
Raymond leaves to mourn his seven children; Clifford, Marlene (William), Richard, Walter (Theresa), Catherine (James), Jo-Anne (Ross), and Janet (Sylvain). He will also be missed by nine Grandchildren; Ryan, Kimberly, Alexander, Connor, Kyle, Joel, Kevin, Riley (deceased), Kate, and Keegan, as well as five Great Grandchildren; Tyler, Jenna, Colby, Taylor and Brianna.
He was predeceased by his Wife and Mother of his seven children, Martha (nee Dressler) (1931-2010) and his second wife Dorothy (Funk) (1935-2011).

Follow Your Dream
Follow your dream.
Take one step at a time
and don't settle for less,
Just continue to climb.
Follow your dream. . .
If you stumble, don't stop
and lose sight of your goal,
Press to the top.
For only on top
can we see the whole view,
Can we see what we've done
and what we can do;
Can we then have the vision
to seek something new . . .
Press on,
and follow your dream.
