IRONSTAND, Raymond Kenneth Born December 10, 1936 – June 23, 2025. Aged 88 years
Raymond Kenneth Ironstand was born in Valley River Reserve (Tootinaowaziibeeng) , Manitoba on December 10, 1936. He passed away in his sleep at the Grandview Hospital on June 23, 2025.
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Caroline Ironstand; siblings, Charlotte McKay, Christine McKay, Jacqueline Agnes Ironstand, Henry John Ironstand, Lorna Ironstand, Yvonne Ironstand, Moses Ironstand, and Philip Ironstand; his first wife, Madeline Ironstand; his children, Wennonah Mancheese-Ironstand, Priscella Hammersley, Mary Lou Mancheese, and Brent Mancheese, his grandchildren, Brent Mancheese, Ramona Mancheese and Taylor Mancheese; great grandchild, Lazzlo Gorski; son-in-law, Mervin Lynx Sr.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his wife, Alice Ironstand; his children, Kenneth (Shirley) Ironstand, Sherry Mancheese, Mryna Lynx, Roxine (Rick) Parrott, Ray (Tanya) Mancheese, Keitha (Barry) Bailey, Derek (Sheryl) Mancheese, Vance Mancheese, CoraLeigh Mancheese and Clayton Mancheese; his step children, Robert (Clarice) LaVallee, Bonnie LaVallee and Alphonse LaVallee; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Raymond lived all his life in Tootinaowaziibeeng, Manitoba where he enjoyed playing baseball, horseshoes, and hunting. He would also like to watch his grandchildren playing sports.
We will miss our horseshoe tournaments that he and Uncle Philip enjoyed very much.
Our dad enjoyed attending Pow Wows and watch his great grandchildren dance and drum. He would always read his Bible and Prayer Book. Dad will be missed and all the stories he would tell of his younger days.
