HAUGEN: Raymond Leroy
Born: July 23, 1938 -  25 Entered Eternal Rest: November 25, 2021 Age 83

Peacefully on Thursday, November 25th, 2021, Raymond passed away at the age of 83.

Ray was born in Birch Hills, Saskatchewan on July 23, 1938. He moved to Flin Flon Manitoba in 1956, and worked for the Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting co. Ray then transferred to Snow Lake Manitoba in 1963. There, he worked as an industrial mechanic in the powerhouse until his retirement in 1993, at the age of 55. At this time Ray moved to Grandview, Manitoba and also enjoyed spending winters in Arizona where he owned a home for many years.

Some of his interests through the years included curling, snowmobiling, fishing, golfing, traveling and, later in life, playing pool with his friends.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Benito Primary Health Centre for their care and compassion. They would also like to thank Marlene, Reg and Perry for their love and support throughout the years.

Ray is survived by his children, Andrew (Brenda), Murray, Lori (Rob) and Alan, his special friend Shirley, his many grandchildren, nieces and nephews, his brothers Gary (Kathi), Cliff, Ron, Doyle (Armande) and brother-in-law Vern.

Ray is predeceased by his parents Leroy and Hazel (Musselman), sister Ione, brother Dale, daughter-in-law Karen and sisters-in-law Jean and Ann.

 A service will be held on December 3rd 2:00 pm at Nairn Chyz-Wolkowski Funeral Service, in Roblin Manitoba.
Manitoba guidelines regarding Covid restrictions and vaccination will be in place.
