Priscella Rose Hammersley

HAMMERSLEY, Priscella Rose Born July 16, 1958 ~ July 9, 2024. Aged 65 years

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Priscella Rose Hammersley, who left us on July 9, 2024, at the age of 65 years old, after a beautifully lived life full of love, laughter and resilience. Priscella was loved by all who knew her. She was born in Grandview, Manitoba, on July 16th, 1958 and was prematurely deceased by, her Mother, Madeline Ironstand, sister, Wennonnah Mancheese, brother in-law, Mervin Lynx Sr., Nephew, Brent Mancheese, Niece, Taylor Mancheese and Ramona Mancheese, Great grand-nephew, Lazzlo Gurski.

Priscella attended school at Valley River Day School, then onto Grandview School and completed at McKay Residential School. She moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba in the late 1970's and met her husband, George Hammersley. They were married on October 15, 1988. Priscella had 2 children, her son, Richard Mancheese (3 grandchildren) Ayshia Mancheese, Axle Mancheese and Ayslia Mancheese. Daughter, Samantha Hammersley (7 grandchildren), Dusahn Eastman, Sincere Eastman, Matao Eastman, Landon Hammersley, Akelia Hammeresley, Kelly Hammersley-Scott and Akeira Hammersley-Scott, and 1 Great-grandchild, Alaric McKay.

Priscella enjoyed crocheting, visiting with family, playing Bingo (with Myrna who would not leave to Bingo without her, but accidently left her in the parking-lot, twice.) She loved to play cards with family; whom she cleaned up more than once, dancing, horseshoes, baseball and planting flowers. Priscella’s favorite time of year was Halloween and had many parties for numerous family members and their children. She also loved to decorate for every holiday. It was always nice to see her house beautifully decorated. Priscella lived her life to the fullest, until she couldn't anymore. Left to remember and celebrate her truly remarkable life are Ken (Shirley), Sherry, Myrna, Roxine (Rick), Ray (Tanya), Derek (Sheryl), Vance, Coraliegh (Kenneth), Clayton, Father Raymond (Alice) and numerous family members of all ages.

A Funeral Service was held on July 15, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Valley River Bible Church with Pastor Warren Ironstand.
