Phyllis Pearl Calcutt

1921 – 2016

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our precious wife and mother.  Phyllis passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the Grandview Personal Care Home in Grandview, Manitoba.

She was born and raised in Grandview, Manitoba.  She married her husband, Bill Calcutt on August 22, 1946 and together they raised three daughters and one son.  They lived on the family farm until retiring to Grandview 22 years ago.

Phyllis was an active member of the Duck Mts. Women’s Institute and a founding member of the Grandview Gateways.

She was predeceased by her son Billy, her parents and siblings, her brother and sister-in-law Roy and Marg Calcutt.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 69 ½ years; Bill Calcutt, her daughters; Roberta Michaluk, Beverly Reese and Nadine (Frank) Olsen, her daughter-in-law Marla Palmer, her sisters-in-law; Betty Storey, and Bertha (Jack) Carter.  Phyllis will also be missed by her six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

A Celebration of Phyllis’ life was held on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Grandview United Church with Reverend Karen Kuzek officiating.

Following the Interment Service at Grandview Memorial Gardens, a memorial reception was held in the lower auditorium of Grandview United Church.
