With heavy hearts, the family of Paul Joseph (Billy) Lynxleg Jr., aged 81, of Tootinaowaziibeeng Treaty Reserve, announces his peaceful passing on December 4, 2025, at Grandview Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Paul was born on March 27, 1944, in Grandview, Manitoba, to his parents, Paul Joseph Sr. Lynxleg, and Florence LeFort. He grew up in a large and devoted family, and throughout his life he carried forward the values of love, resilience, and generosity that were instilled in him from a young age.
He is predeceased by his parents, his siblings Clifford, Allan, Lucy, Mervin, Wally, Lawrence, Hazel, Isabel, and his first grandchild, Ashley.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 64 years, Lillian Lynxleg (Bone), and their children, Lorraine, Scot, Liza, and Billy Jay. Paul’s legacy lives on in his grandchildren, Whitney, Joseph, Marlee Rae, Miranda, Quillan, and Celeste and his great-grandchildren Ava, Reegan, and Zurora. He is also survived by his siblings Kenneth, Gloria, Rosine, Irene, and Bryon, along with their families, numerous nieces and nephews, all his foster children, and many dear friends whose lives he touched.
Paul was a loving, nurturing, and exceptionally hardworking man. Whether tending to his fields and animals or sharing stories and laughter with his family, he lived each day with purpose and joy. His dedication and love were evident in everything he did, and his playful banter will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
