Metro (Mervin) Yakubowski

November 8, 1944-December 6, 2020.

Mervin Passed away at the Grandview Personal Care Home on December 6, 2020 due to complications of Covid. He was a resident since May 2019.

He was the oldest son born to Joe and Margaret (Shewchuk) Yakubowski in the Silverwood district, north of Roblin,MB . He grew up with his parents and brother in Shipman (Prince Albert district) and Russell, MB.   He worked at many locations west in Alberta and B.C. and returned home to his parents at the beautiful Lake of the Prairies. He loved nature and helping his parents.  His adventurous spirit led him to pack up his van and go on long trips.

He was predeceased by his father in 1999, mother in 2016, and brother Billy in 2007, and his son Dana in 2016.

 He is survived by his son Shawn and daughter Tracy (Jeff) Cuff their daughters Nicole, her son Liam, Jennie (Parker) Wagstaff, son Cody Cuff and Dana’s children.

He is also survived by Darlene (Billy) and their children Jaas (Haley) - Luna, Cali and Zac.

A private family service & internment will be held at a later date.

The family extends a thank you to the staff at Grandview Personal Care Home.

His soul is at peace now! Eternal Memory
