Mary Mae Yaworsky
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Mary on Wednesday the 23rd of August 2015 at the Roblin District Health Centre in Roblin, Manitoba.
Mary was born in Calder Saskatchewan on June 7, 1921 to Bessie (nee Semeniuk) and Charles Boyko.
Mary married Adam Yaworsky on the 21st of October 1944. They farmed together in Saskatchewan and Manitoba until 1978 when they moved to Roblin, Manitoba. They raised three children, Bob (Joyce) Yaworsky, Judy (Phil) De Vos and Susan (Pete) Uhryn.
Mary loved to babysit, garden, sew, bake, cook, crochet and entertain her grandchildren. Mary belonged to a very special group of friends that she coffeed and studied with.
Mary loved babies and children and always had her door open to babysit or just play with children.
Mary will be sadly missed by: her children; Bob (Joyce) Yaworsky of Mac Nutt, Saskatchewan, Judy (Phil) De Vos of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, and Susan (Pete) Uhryn of Rosetown, Saskatchewan, her Grandchildren; Kevin (Camille) Yaworsky, Lana Davey Anderson, Lindsay (Andrew) Pearce, David (Cora) De Vos, Jamie De Vos, Trudy Uhryn and Chantel Uhryn. She will also be missed by her Great grandchildren; Zachary, Kennedy, Mason, Taylor, Hanna, Jeanine, Tristan, Finn and Cullen and sister-in-law Madeline Boyko, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.
Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Adam Yaworsky, her parents; Charles and Bessie (nee Semenuik) Boyko, her brothers; John Boyko and Lloyd Boyko and her sisters; Katie (Gaston) Vanderkhove and Doris (Mike) Haddad.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, August 28 at 11:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Roblin, with Father Bastin officiating. Sacred Heart Choir led the congregational hymns; “Amazing Grace”, “Peace is Flowing”, “Like a Shepherd”, and “How Great Thou Art”.
Mary was carried to her final resting place in Roblin Catholic Cemetery by the Casket Bearers; Kevin Yaworsky, Lana Davey Anderson, David De Vos, Jamie De Vos, Mason De Vos and Myron Kasprowicz.
Following the Interment Service, a memorial reception was held in the lower auditorium of Sacred Heart Church, hosted by Sacred Heart CWL.
