BANGLE, Lovie October 7, 1927 – August 30, 2022 Age 94 years
Lovie Bangle(Nee Yunkovich) passed away peacefully August 30, 2022 at the age of 94 years. Lovie was born October 7, 1927 in Opal, Poland. Lovie immigrated with her parents, Nicholas & Juliana, and her brothers, Paul & Mike in August 1929. Parents homesteaded in Shortdale, Manitoba. Lovie attended Winona School. After completing high school in Roblin, Manitoba, she completed training to obtain a teaching certificate through Normal School. Lovie taught in Happy Lake and Clemenceau School Districts in Manitoba until 1967.
In 1946, Lovie met Leo Bangle and on July 2, 1948, they were united in marriage. Lovie and Leo raised five children. While raising children on the farm near San Clara, Manitoba, they also enjoyed fishing, camping, curling and entertaining at home. Lovie and Leo retired to Roblin, Manitoba in 1990. Lovie and Leo were frequently at the 50 & Over Club, where they spent time playing cards with friends. Lovie became involved in the local quilting club and weekly bible studies. Lovie was also a member of the Deepdale Ladies Group.
In February 2020, Lovie moved to Fairview Personal Care home in Brandon, Manitoba to be closer to family.
Lovie was predeceased by her parents, brothers, husband Leo, daughters Wanda and Ruth and son-in-law Earl. Surviving to mourn Lovie’s death and cherish many fond memories are Don Cramer of St. Francois Xavier, Manitoba, Debbie (John) George, Connie Bangle, all of Brandon, Manitoba, and Grant (Kym) Bangle of St. Malo, Manitoba; Grandchildren: Sara (Chris) Wood, Jeffery Cramer, Kisten (Reg) Gray, Robert (Kristen) Gray, Jonathan George, Justen George, Jamee (Gord) Finlay, and McKinnon Bangle and nine Great Grandchildren.
A graveside service will take place Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 2 pm at the Roblin District Cemetery. A reception for family and friends with follows the service at the 50 & Over Club.
Memorial donations in memory of Lovie can be made to the 50 & Over Club or the Roblin Knox United Church.
