Lois Elaine McKay

MCKAY, Lois Elaine Born November 11, 1943 – January 18, 2025. Aged 81 years.

           It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Lois Elaine McKay of Roblin, Manitoba on January 18, 2025, at the age of 81 years. Lois was born November 11, 1943, to Peter and Florence Ludwig. She attended school in Roblin, Manitoba along with her 9 siblings. Lois enjoyed swimming and helping in the kitchen as a child. Lois met and instantly fell in love with Gordon McKay, and they were married shortly after. Lois was a full-time stay-at-home mom to 5 children with a few brief jobs sewing textiles.

Lois was predeceased by her husband Gordon, daughter Francis, son Douglas, and eight of her siblings. Lois leaves behind her son Lowen McKay (Terry), daughters Angela Micha (Travis) and Candace Schmidt (Colin), brother Harvey Ludwig, and numerous grandchildren, nephews and nieces as well as many extended family members and friends.

Her greatest joys and accomplishments are the love of her husband and the gift of being a mom, grandmother, and friend. Lois was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by all.
