Alice June Livingstone

1929 – 2013

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Alice June (nee Nason) Livingstone, age 84 years, on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Crocus Court Personal Care Home in Roblin, Manitoba.

Alice June Nason was born December 4, 1929, at Fredericton Junction, New Brunswick, a daughter of Clarence Allison and Alice Etta (nee Harris) Nason.

June was raised in Fredericton and moved to Toronto until moving out west, and then residing in Roblin.

June worked for fifteen years at the Roblin District Health Centre in the Housekeeping Department, which she enjoyed very much. She was a very meticulous person and really loved to travel. June and her husband Robert travelled quite extensively in the USA and Canada after retirement. June was a very happy, playful, good-natured person who loved to visit her friends and neighbours.

Cherishing many fond memories are: Daughters; Diana (Hank) Sawatzky of Claresholm, Alberta, Linda Osborne of Three Hills, Alberta, Donna (Don) Needham of Calgary, Alberta, Son-in-law; Ray Shiner and family of Roblin, as well as nine Grandchildren and seventeen Great-Grandchildren.

June was pre-deceased in death by her Father Clarence Nason in 1995 and her Mother Alice (nee Harris) Nason in 1994, her Daughter Sandra Shiner in 1996 and her Husband Robert Livingstone on September 7, 2000.

June’s Graveside Service was held on Friday, December 20, 2013 at 2:00 PM from the Roblin District Cemetery with Reverend Mark Hammond officiating under the auspices of the United Church of Canada. All those in attendance at the service were asked to consider themselves Honourary Bearers.

Rest In Peace Mom, Grandma, and Great-Grandma – We Love You

Eternal God, in whom we live and move and have our being, be present with us now. Draw us nearer and embrace us within your infinite love. Transform the burden of our pain or doubt into the freedom of faithfulness and thanksgiving. Bless us with your healing touch.
