Harvey Lenard Paul  - February 18, 1951 – July 19, 2022 age 71 years

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Harvey Lenard Paul on July 19, 2022 at the age of 71 years, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.
 

Harvey was born February 18, 1951 in the district of Boggy Creek, Manitoba. He was the sixth out of seven children born to Joseph and Victoria Paul (nee Lafontaine).

On June 12, 1976, Harvey was united in marriage to Germaine Carrier; later that year they were blessed with their first child – a son, Jason. Their daughter, Joanne joined the family in 1981. One of Harvey’s greatest accomplishments in life was he became a father to his children, whom he was very proud of.
Harvey was “Jack of all Trades.” As a teenager he worked as a farm hand and also worked logging in bush camps. Later in life he was employed with Roblin Forest Products. In 1977 he then worked with Mountain Log Builders in San Clara, MB building log homes throughout Saskatchewan and Manitoba for approximately ten years, then returned to work at Roblin Forest Products for a few more years.

Harvey was a man of many skills – he loved repairing small engines and worked at Bear’s Repair Shop in Roblin for six years. Later, he had his own repair shop at his home in San Clara.

Harvey was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Victoria; his brothers, Lawrence and Lloyd (Bud); sisters, Annette, Nellie and Lillian; two nephews, Douglas (Timmy) and Colin, as well as niece, Wilma.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Jason Paul (Brandon, MB) Joanna Paul (Brandon, MB) his wife, Germaine Paul (Kamsack, SK); special friend, Donna Young (Roblin, MB); his sister, Rosella (Bill) Dilling (Roblin, MB); his baby brother, Lenese (Linda) Paul (Roblin, MB) as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Growing up, Harvey and Lenese would fish for chubs in the creek and as mischievous as they were, when their folks weren’t home, they would ride calves around the farm with hopes of making the “San Clara Stampede”.

Prayer Service was held on July 26, 2022 from the Chapel of NairnChyz-Wolkowski Funeral Service, Roblin, MB with Father James Ahahaneku officiating.
