Gordon Dixon, aged 90 years of Gibsons, British Columbia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 11, 2013, at Sechelt, British Columbia, after a brief hospitalization.
Gordon was born September 23, 1923, on the family farm at Grand Narrows, Manitoba.
He was a proud WWII Veteran and served overseas from 1942 to 1946 to defend the freedom that we enjoy.
He married Lillian Irvine in 1947 and they celebrated their 66th anniversary in 2013.
Gordon is loved and missed by his wife, Lillian, six children, fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grand children.
A Memorial Service was held at the Roblin Knox United Church on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 2:00 P.M, with Rev. Mark Hammond officiating. An Interment Service followed in Mountview Cemetery at Silverwood, Manitoba.
