NABE: Georgina Othelia (Shearer) March 13, 1927 – July 31, 2022 Age 95 years
Georgina Nabe (Shearer) was born on March 13, 1927 near Togo, Saskatchewan. She attended school in Togo until she moved to the Makaroff District. She married Jack Nabe on April 18, 1947 and farmed along side Jack until they retired. They moved to Roblin in 2006 and to Maple Manor in 2013. Jack died in 2014. Georgina moved into Roblin Personal Care Home in 2020 and lived there until her passing.
Georgina was a hard-working home maker and gardener. She was always hospitable and will be remembered for her baking and cooking skills and her friendly demeanor. She enjoyed camping and fishing, traveling and playing cards and spending time with family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are their four children: Lloyd (Beth) Nabe from Chilliwack, Carol (Vester) Bailey from Roblin, Everett (Linda) Nabe from Penticton, Daryl (Paula) Nabe from Lac Du Bonnet.
Siblings: Alma Sembaluk, Eleanor (Ray) Wilson, Rena Shearer, Elrose (Bill) Nickel, Norma (Ken) McNicol, Mary Gauthier, Ruth Pfeifer, and Rosalind Malcolm.
Grandchildren: Jason (Lisa), Joel (Heather), Jason (Christa), Chris (Cathie), Denise, Todd, Cole, Camryn and numerous great grand children and nieces and nephews.
