In Loving Memory of

Frank Lawrence Tyschinski

1937 – 2016

Frank Lawrence Tyschinski of Roblin, Manitoba passed away at the age of 79 years old on June 30, 2016 at the Roblin District Health Centre.

Frank began his life on June 6th, 1937 in Shortdale, Manitoba in the RM of Hillsburg, a son of Stanley and Helen (nee Sokoloski) Tyschinski.  Frank received his elementary education at Shortdale and Gilbert schools.  He attended high school at Bield. Upon completing Grade 11, he took a year of education with Success Business College in Winnipeg.  Following that, he was employed by The Winnipeg Grain Exchange.  Shortly after, he returned home to the family farm due to his father’s illness.  Frank stayed on the farm until he moved into the town of Roblin in 1973. Frank then went to work for the Roblin Truck Service.  Frank purchased his farm in Shell River in 1984; he spent many enjoyable hours on the farm until the day he retired.

Frankie had a love of sports.  He attended many baseball games in Yorkton, SK. His passion was watching the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and any and all hockey games.  He was an avid supporter of the Roblin North Stars hockey team and took every opportunity to promote the team.  He was also an active member of the Knights of Columbus and always willing to work for their fundraisers.

Frankie always thought of others first and willingly gave everything to his friends and family; that is why everyone loved him.  Frankie loved visiting with his coffee friends and if Frank did not know who you were he was not afraid to ask who you were and where you were from.  His contagious smile was his trademark.

Frankie is survived by his sisters Vickie (Barrie) Donald of Portage la Prairie, and Rose (Roger) Arndt of Roblin; his brother,  Phil (Marie) Tyschinski of Sandy Lake; his sister-in-law Mary Tyschinski of Roblin; and many nieces and nephews.

Frankie was predeceased by his parents Stanley and Helen Tyschinski; his older brother Edward and his infant brother Lawrence Tyschinski.

A Prayer Vigil Service was held on Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Nairn-Chyz Funeral Home with Father Bastin officiating.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, July 4, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Roblin with Father Bastin officiating.  Stan Ostafie and the Sacred Heart Choir led the congregational hymns.  A tribute to Frankie was delivered by Mark Watt.  Members of the Knights of Columbus, Roblin Council 5425 formed an Honour Guard for Frankie.

The Casket Bearers, Jonathon Arndt, Ted Tyschinski, Lonnie Tyschinski, Scott Tyschinski, Kevin Tyschinski and Ingrid Gross carried Frankie to his final resting place in Roblin Catholic Cemetery.

Following the Interment Prayers, a memorial reception was held in the lower auditorium of Sacred Heart Church, hosted by Sacred Heart CWL.
