HIEBERT, Frank Beery Wayne Born September 21, 1942 ~ July 7, 2024. Aged 81 years.
It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Frank Hiebert on July 7, 2024 at the age of 81years. Frank Hiebert was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Frank was born on September 21, 1942 in Happy Lake, Manitoba to parents Corny (Hiebert) and Alvina (Lilley). He was born into a family of 12, with 6 brothers and 5 sisters. He was known for his kindness and generosity, always willing to lend a hand. He was a pillar of strength and wisdom for his family, who will continue to cherish the countless memories made with him.
Frank was a journeyman mechanic for most of his life, starting at Cross-town Motors and then Cardegar Ford. He retired at 65 in Roblin, Manitoba. He was a jack-of-all-trades, helping anyone who asked. Frank and Margaret married on November 29, 1964 in Silverwood, Manitoba and would be celebrating 60 years in November.
Frank was a proud long time founding member of the Shell River Metis Local. He was one of the last surviving members that helped build the Shell River Local building. He and Margaret loved to visit family and friends at gatherings and jamborees. Frank also had a love of genealogy, and was interested in learning as much as he could about finding family connections.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Margaret; his children, Orrey (Brenda) and Shanna (Stan); grandchildren, Kalen, Kirby, and Shae (Dakotah); his brothers, Jack, Bill (Jackie), Randy; and sister Edith. He is predeceased by his parents Corny and Alvina Hiebert; his sisters Rena (Dee), Anne (Slim), Joan (Burt), Betty (Skip); and his brothers Lenard, Carl, Abe (Vicky), and Gordon.
A Prayer Service was held on July 12, 2024 at the NairnChyz-Wolkowski Funeral Chapel. A Funeral Service was held on July 13, 2024 at the Roblin Church of God in Christ Mennonite Church where we celebrated his life and the love he shared with us all.
May his legacy live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
