Eva Intine (nee Boyanski) passed away peacefully November 2, 2018 at the Crocus Court Personal Care Home, Roblin, MB at the age of 100 years and 5 months.
Eva was born May 11, 1918 to Fred & Mary (nee Jaek) in the Merridale District. She was the youngest of 8 children; Teenie, Anne, John, Mike, Katie & twin brothers Peter & Paul. Her father had a need to roam and moved around the Roblin area to numerous locations. She received her education at the Merridale School but never finished.
At a very early age Eva married and left for Fort Frances, Ontario. Due to availability of work they later moved to Hamilton where she resided for 50 years. During this time, she met and re-married her lifelong companion Danny Intine. She started her working career in restaurants and later became a hostess at Fishers hotel.
She enjoyed life with Danny. She could be found dancing on highway 401, using candies for bate while on a fishing trip to the cottage at Lake Temagami. Eva also took up hunting but shot at targets and was reluctant to shoot at animals when they looked at her. Being the lady she was she also enjoyed travelling to Florida, Vegas, and Atlantic City to just name a few. Even though she was a lady with class she never turned down a good party or a quad ride.
Eva and Danny had numerous dogs and cats at their house on Victoria Avenue. Even if the cats ripped the curtains, there was always more curtains to be had at the store. Along with her love for animals, she loved her flowers, mainly roses. If she was unable to sleep, she could be found out weeding in the rose bushes. Even though Eva and Danny didn’t have children together she treated and loved every child as if they were her own and thoroughly enjoyed having a house full of children.
In 1987 Danny passed away, then her brother John in 1990 followed by Paul in 1992 which made Eva’s decision to moved back home to be with her brother Pete an easy one. Once she was home her and Pete could be found in one of the local restaurants having coffee & breakfast or on a holiday in Clear Lake. She also enjoyed picking berries & mushrooms.
Eva was in her prime when she was playing hostess with the mostess making large meals for the family in which in her opinion we never ate enough. In just October of last year, she could be found making her own perogies even if it took her days to finish.
In January of 2018 she moved into Crocus Court Personal Care home and remained there till her passing. Eva lived life to the fullest, enjoyed every moment no matter where it took her. She would never complain and often in the last year said I can’t believe where these 100 years have went.
Eva had a way about her that left you with a lasting memory no matter where you met her or how long you knew her.
She is survived by numerous well-loved nieces and nephews and a large extended family & friends. She was predeceased by her husband Danny Intine; parents Fred & Mary; siblings Teenie, Anne, John, Mike, Katie & twin brothers Peter & Paul.
