June 28, 1927 ~ November 28, 2013 (age 86) 86 Years Old
In Loving Memory of
Eleanor Bridget Edwards
1927 - 2013
Peacefully on November 28, 2013 at the age of 86, Eleanor passed away at Crocus Court Personal Care Home after a long fight with Alzheimer’s.
Eleanor Bridget Gardner began her life on June 28, 1927 at Togo, Saskatchewan, a daughter of Wilf and Emma (nee) McGinnis) Gardner.
Eleanor was a strong, intelligent, and caring woman, who had a zest for life, a love of fishing, camping and baking pies that she was only too happy to divvy up amongst family and friends knowing that they would enjoy the special treat.
Eleanor had a tremendous love for her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and friends that knew no bounds. In return we all felt the same.
To all those who knew her she will be remembered with fondness. Remembered for her quick wit, generosity, sparkling, laughter, and the ever present apron tied around her middle.
Surviving to mourn Eleanor’s death and cherish many fond memories are; Son, Don Edwards of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Daughters; Lynn Erickson of Snow Lake, Manitoba, Jackie (Reg) Erickson of The Pas, Manitoba, Betty Ann (Al) Hanson of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, ten Grandchildren and seven Great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are; Brothers, Jackie (Ellen) Gardner of Saskatchewan, Lorne (Erma) Gardner of B.C, Sister, Gaylia McNeleens of Winnipeg, and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
Eleanor was predeceased by her Parents; Wilf and Emma (nee McGinnis) Gardner, Brothers; Dan (Dot) Gardner and Gordon (Joyce) Gardner, Infant Sister in June 1939, Sister Marie (Bill) Radford, Husband Jack Edwards, Son, Bill Edwards, Son-in-law, Eldon Erickson and Brother-in-law Euwen McNeleens.
Mom is now at peace in a better place with her beloved husband Jack, son Bill, brothers Gordon and Danny, Sister Marie, and son-in-law Eldon.
Rest In Peace
