Eleanor Donaldson

   Donaldson, Eleanor Anne – August 3, 1948 – August 15, 2019, aged 71 years of Roblin, Manitoba entered into eternal rest at their residence, after a brief illness.

   Eleanor was born on August 3, 1948 to Fred and Victoria Zibresky (nee Kostuik). She attended school in Post Up, which was about 3 miles away from her family farm. After attending grades 1-8 in Post Up, she was forced to change her schooling to Roblin, as the country school only went up to grade 8. She had to walk to the school in Post Up, then ride the school bus to Roblin for the rest of her schooling. The extra time it took to get to school in Roblin, soon became too much.

   After leaving school, she moved to Minnedosa, but later moved back to the family farm to help. Along the way, she met a school mate, by the name of Wayne Donaldson. Eventually both her and Wayne would purchase some land and begin cattle farming for the next 49 years together.

   Eleanor loved her animals, be it raccoons, deer, cattle or her loveable cats. She was an animal lover. Eleanor also loved to read, spend time with family and gardening. Although not one for the spot light, both her and Wayne lived a happy and content life together.

   A Graveside Service was held Friday, August 23, 2019 from the Roblin District Cemetery, with Pastor Health Butler officiating. Those who so desire may make memorial donations to the MS Society of Manitoba or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba in memory of Eleanor.
