Framingham, Donna Born July 19, 1940 – August 22, 2025. Aged 85 years.
The family of Donna Framingham is sad to announce her sudden passing on August 22, 2025, at the age of 85. Mom was born on Friday, July 19, 1940. She grew up in the Bield area. Mom worked as a telephone operator before she married Ed Framingham on July 14, 1959. Mom and Dad started a family dairy operation in Merridale in 1969. In 1982, they sold the dairy and continued to farm until 1990, when they moved to Saskatoon.
Mom’s kitchen was usually busy as she baked bread, buns, and cinnamon buns. Dad had a sweet tooth, and she was always baking. Some things that come to mind are rickety uncle squares, fruit cakes and butter tarts. She was always willing to share with the company. Sometimes she would hide it from Dad and the four of us so it would be there when she needed it. Mom was a very talented seamstress. She made many of our clothes when we were young. She was a perfectionist when it came to sewing. She made many men’s suits, grad dresses, and wedding dresses, each with the greatest of care and attention to detail. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren received a handmade quilt when they were born (she had one ready and waiting for the two on the way). Mom also made each grandchild a quilt as a wedding gift.
Mom enjoyed travelling and, as the regional director for T.O.P.S., she was able to attend conventions in Canada and the United States. She also went on many trips with her family and friends.
Mom is survived by her four children Mae (Pat) Dietrich and children Nolan and Jan (Nick), Laura (David) Bouvier, and children Riley (Melissa), Terri (Tom), Jamie (Justine), Grant (Penny-Lane) Framingham and children Grant (Amy), Jackson (Ann), Cameron (Amber), and Lynne (Kirk Utigard) Framingham and children Scott (Stacey) and Brody (Darian), as well as 20 great grandchildren (with 2 on the way).
She is also survived by her brother, Bill (Dianne) Angus and sister, Betty Carrothers, sisters-in-law Ruth Angus and Orla Angus, her aunt Mavis Ready, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Naida (Framingham) and Vernon Murray, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
She was predeceased by her husband Ed, her parents Bart and Ila-Mae (Ready) Angus, her brothers, Len Angus and Barry Angus, grandchildren, Christopher, Derek and Shelby, nephew Geoffrey, mother and father-in-law Daphne (Radford) and Reg Framingham, sisters and brothers-in-law, Merle and Ken Watkins and Judy and Merv Krywa.
Mom was very proud of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We will miss her dearly and cherish many fond memories. Her best gift to us all was her unconditional love! There was never a “see you later” or a “goodbye” without a hug and “I love you”.
She has joined our Dad, the love of her life, and they are once again dancing together.
A Come and Go tea in memory of Donna will be held October 11, 2025 at 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Bield Community Centre.
