Lindsay, Darren Norman Born September 24,1968 - November 3, 2023, Aged 55 years.
Darren Lindsay was born September 24, 1968 in Roblin Hospital to Victor and Veronica (Rhonda) Lindsay. They had brought him home to his half-brother David. They lived on the Lindsay family farm in Makaroff, Manitoba. In about 1977 his cousin Eleanor Roth came to live with them and they became a family of five.
Darren attended school in Roblin and graduated from Goose Lake High school in 1986. After school Darren moved to Alberta to work on the rigs. Darren left his parents at a young age, moving from the family farm to look after the cattle and he commuted back and fourth to the rigs with friends.
Darren met Twyla Mino in the summer of 1995 in Valleyview, Alberta. She moved to Roblin to live with Darren. Darren and Twyla started a family together there. First Taylor Joyce was born December 22, 1998 and then surprised to hear they were expecting twin boys, Austin John and Justin Daniel on January 16, 2000.
Darren was a hard worker, even when he wasn’t at his job, Darren was always doing something whether for himself or others. Darren was very mechanically inclined as well. Darren enjoyed the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, quading, and skidooing. Darren also enjoyed working with cattle. After he was done at the rigs, he worked with local farmers in Roblin. Darren also loved having a dog with him.
Darren was predeceased by his parents, Victor and Veronica in 1994, his grandparents, John and Jessie (Hunter) Linsday and William and Ellen (Anderson) Roth of Ontario.
Left to mourn are his three children Taylor, Justin, and Austin, his very good friend Dianne Bauer, his cousins, Eleanor (William) Kryschuk and April (Dan) Kryschuk.
Darren passed away November 3, 2023 in Russell Hospital. The family would like to extend their sincere thank you to Matthew Bauer, the staff at the Russell Hospital, Roblin and Russell ambulance and STARS ambulance.
