July 9, 1970 ~ January 14, 2016 (age 45) 45 Years OldIn Loving Memory of
Dale Stanley Anderson
1970 – 2016
Dale Stanley Anderson, aged 45, passed away suddenly on January 14, 2016 in Thompson, MB. While Dale's life was short, it was lived to the fullest without regrets. He married the love of his life and best friend, Angel Meyer, in June 1999. They loved their life together, enjoying their home on Paint Lake, taking summer and winter vacations, usually just the two of them, to explore new countries, states and provinces.
Dale is remembered by everyone as a smiling, kind-hearted, easy-going guy who made friends wherever he went. His family and friends were important to him and he always made time for them. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews especially taking them fishing when they visited. Dale was the guy who would always go out of his way to help anyone.
Dale worked in many areas including construction, railways, grain and trucking. He spent more than 10 years working for Gardewine but he enjoyed his work the most driving his own semi on the ice roads out of Yellowknife. He was known as hard working, reliable, trustworthy and was well-respected by all. He volunteered for years as a firefighter with the Paint Lake Volunteer Fire Department.
Dale enjoyed fishing, hunting and snowmobiling and his trips with friends all over the north including the Lynn Lake area and Quartzite Lake in Nunavut.
Dale leaves to mourn his wife, Angel; his mom Nellie Anderson and Roy Storozynsky; sisters Kelly Kuzyk (Sam and Lauryn), Karen and Rob Gryba (Easton, Eric & Evan) and Crystal and Lyall Bates (Levi); in-laws Jane and Wayne Slone, Edwin and Donna Meyer, Pam Meyer and Doug Orr and Todd and April Meyer (Rachel and Alexa, Samm and Nathan Holt, Shelby, Carson and Daxton Cockerill). Dale was pre-deceased by his dad, Jack Anderson and grandparents John and Edna Anderson and Stanley and Elsie Matskiw.
Dale’s Funeral Service was held on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Grandview Kinsmen Community Centre in Grandview, Manitoba with Pastor Randy Moffit officiating. Mrs. Laurie Moffit performed the musical prelude and recessional. Clinton Myers and Kerry McNabb delivered the Eulogy.
Dale was carried to his final resting place in Eldon Cemetery at Gilbert Plains, Manitoba by the Urn Bearers; Eric Gryba, Levi Bates and Evan Gryba.
Following the Interment Service, a memorial reception was held at the Grandview Kinsmen Community Centre, hosted by the Grandview Legion Ladies Auxilliary.
The families would like to thank family and friends for the outpouring of love through phone calls, visits, texts, food and flowers. It is so greatly appreciated.
