Colleen Gidney passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Grandview Hospital in Grandview, Manitoba on December 8th, 2018 at the age of 58 years.
Colleen was born on May 29th, 1960 in Flin Flon, Manitoba. She worked at HBM&S for 30 years, until she retired in 2016 and moved down to be with her daughters in San Clara, Manitoba.
Mom was a generous and dedicated individual who loved camping, cooking and cleaning, and she adored her grandchildren. Mom was the most salt of the earth person, she never judged no one, and never held a grudge, her heart was truly made of gold.
Colleen is survived by her children, Jake Gidney (Shawnya), Christina Bangle (Bobby), Lisa Branconnier (Tyler); her grandchildren Rio, Kenya, Holden, John, and step grandsons Wyatt and Woodrow; her mother Jenny Hedman; brother Howard Hedman (Tammy); and sister Connie McKenzie (Len); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father Oscar Hedman and sister Gaye Hanes.
We would like to thank Dr. Rae and the nurses at Grandview Hospital for their efforts, care, & dedication.
A Celebration Of Life was held on Sunday, December 16, 2018 from St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Flin Flon, Manitoba with Father Paul Bringleson officiating.
