Arthur Martin Haberstock
September 29, 1927 ~ August 25, 2015 (age 87) 87 Years Old
In Loving Memory of
Arthur Martin Haberstock
1927 – 2015
Arthur Haberstock, age 87 years of Zorra, Saskatchewan, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 with his loving family by his side.
Art met and married his wife Leona (McGinnis) back in 1951. They lived and farmed in the Zorra area and had three children, Barbara, Glenn and Donovan (who sadly is no longer with us).
Art very much enjoyed farming and especially looking after his cattle, and no matter what problems arose he never complained, he simply tackled it. He attended many auction sales, always looking to add to his, very unique/unusual collection of "treasures”. Art also had a passion for inventing things; some were even quite useful...
Whenever Art would see any of his Grandchildren/Great Grandchildren driving any farm machinery he would beam with pride in hopes they would be the next generation of farmers.
When Art found time to relax, you could find him laying on the floor by the heater listening to country music on the radio.
Art was known by all, and was always willing to stop and talk to you. He was an active member of his church and always thankful for all his blessings.
Art is survived by his wife of 63 years, Leona Haberstock (McGinnis), his Daughter Barbara (Garry) Hilderman, his Son Glenn (Linda) Haberstock, his Grandchildren David (Tiffany) Hilderman, Rachelle (Uwe) Engelhardt, Dawn (Nick) McInally, Kyle Haberstock, Jennifer (Robert) Ricker, and his Great Grandchildren Lydia, Zain, Lux-Anna, Renay, Donovan, Tristen, Haden, Art will also be missed by his Brother Ed (Irene) Haberstock, Daughter-in-Law Sonia Haberstock and many nieces and nephews.
Art is now united with Son Donovan, Parents John and Philippinia, Great Granddaughter Makaja, Brother Ervin and Sisters Edna, Eleanor and Rosella.
Art’s Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 2:00 PM (**Saskatchewan Time**) at Grace Lutheran Church in Zorra, Saskatchewan with Pastor Barry Wood officiating. Art will be laid to rest in Grace Lutheran Churchyard Cemetery following the service.
Art will be missed by all.
