Anton John Swidzinski of Grandview, Manitoba passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Dauphin General Hospital. Anton was born on December 5, 1938 at Wroxton, Saskatchewan, a son of Eugene and Annie (nee Yarocki) Swidzinski.

Anton attended school at Kamsack, Saskatchewan and later at Roblin, Manitoba. During this time, Anton worked at the Cabana Grill in Roblin as a server. On October 10, 1961 Anton was united in Holy Matrimony to Roselene Nellie Yurkiw. Together they settled and built their home and started their family near Grandview. Anton continued to work in construction and sales in the Roblin area.

Anton enjoyed many things in life, and when not working he enjoyed playing pool and having coffee with his many friends in Roblin and Grandview. He spent many hours reading the local newspapers and discussing the news with almost anyone. When the news got old he always had a joke or two to tell. At home Anton enjoyed building projects and teaching his children his skills. When the work was done he enjoyed laughing and joking with his family.

Anton was predeceased in death by his parents, Eugene and Annie Swidzinski, Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Andy and Lena Yurkiw and Brother-in-law, Edward Tyschinski.

The Twenty-Third Psalm

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures.

He leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul.

He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,

I will fear no evil; for Thou art with me,

Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies.

Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
